About Pei Ja
I am a 4th year at UCSB with honors in Creative Writing and a minor in French. I have 4 years of one-on-one tutoring with English and reading to ESL students. I have received multiple awards and recognition for my short stories and published a book of poetry this summer. I received a 30 on my ACT and am extremely confident in my reading and writing skills.

I approach teaching English and writing with timed practice which improves the ability to write within timed constraints on essays and tests like the ACT/SAT. Close reading is essential for all courses from middle school to university level classes and is something I have 8 years of experience with.
