With three years of Honors English under my belt, I’ve learned how to break things down in a way that actually makes sense. My tutoring style is relaxed but focused — I create a comfortable space where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and improving without judgment.
In a typical lesson, we start by reviewing what you're working on (essay, assignment, reading, etc.), figure out what’s tripping you up, and tackle it step-by-step. I help with everything from brainstorming essay ideas to analyzing literature and improving grammar. I also teach strategies for close reading, timed writing, and studying smarter, not harder.
What sets me apart is that I’ve been in your shoes — I know what teachers expect and how to explain it in ways that are clear and not overly academic. I make English feel doable, even if you’ve been struggling.
I tutor middle and high school students (grades 6–12) who want help with essays, homework, test prep, reading comprehension, or just need someone to walk them through things patiently and clearly. Let’s build your confidence and boost those grades — together!
