About Jonathan
"Clarity produces results. My approach focuses on stripping away the confusion surrounding complex music theory by connecting it directly to the physical act of playing.
Because I have spent 13 years refining my craft, I know exactly where intermediate learners stumble and how to guide them through those rough patches. Whether we are drilling specific strumming patterns or exploring the nuances of improvisation, the objective is always to build a solid foundation of technical competence. I treat every student as an individual musician with unique goals.
By combining my background in classical vocal performance with my expertise in guitar, I bring a unique perspective to the mechanics of sound and rhythm. We work together to ensure your hands and your mind are in complete alignment.
You will find that these sessions provide the rigorous structure you need to progress. Mastering the fretboard requires patience and proper direction. I am ready to guide you to the next stage of your development."

"A crisp acoustic chord ringing in a quiet room is the first sound I hear when I think of my musical practice. Holding a Master of Music from the Royal Northern College of Music gave me the formal structure I now share with intermediate learners and young students. My own journey involved years of rigorous study before moving into the teaching space I occupy today.
I focus on electric technique and music theory to demystify the instrument for those who have spent too long playing alone. You can expect a clear explanation of how blues progressions fit into your wider playing style. Improvisation and soloing become approachable once we break the patterns down into manageable parts.
I enjoy working with kids who are just beginning their path. It is work I love. My lessons are designed to be precise yet accessible for self-taught players wanting structure. You will learn to use your hands with intention rather than guesswork."
