I graduated from Fort St High School in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.6, finishing 5th in my cohort and receiving the ANU Tuckwell Scholarship (one of Australia's most competitive academic scholarships). I currently work as a graduate solicitor in Sydney.

I have over 2000 hours of tutoring experience with 50+ Year 10, 11 and 12 students since completing my HSC in 2020, and over 80% of my HSC students have achieved Band 6s in the subjects I tutor them in.

Hi, I'm Max. I graduated from Fort St High School in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.6, finishing 5th in my cohort and receiving the ANU Tuckwell Scholarship (one of Australia's most competitive academic scholarships). I currently work as a graduate solicitor in Sydney.

My Teaching Approach

My teaching style revolves around the student completing questions from my large bank of past papers which I then mark and give feedback on. This way I can identify and address any gaps in the student's understanding of the content. I also give my students an appropriate amount of newspaper and JSTOR articles to enrich their learning and add depth to their essays.

I have a vast bank of past papers for all subjects that I tutor, and my students get access to these as well as my summary notes and stat banks.

2027 Syllabus Changes

New syllabuses have been introduced this year for Preliminary English, History and Economics. 2026 is the final HSC year examined under the old syllabuses, with the new ones applying from 2027. I've spent considerable time getting across the new content (my former Economics teacher was actually involved in writing the new Economics syllabus). While some material has changed, the core skills that drive results (thorough preparation, clear thinking and well-structured writing) remain exactly the same.
