About Barbara
Prior to obtaining my degree in Humanities, I took several courses in college level writing, with weekly critiques of written assignments. The critiques developed my skills in correct sentence structure and grammar as well as a logical flow of the writing.
I am interested in why you wish to become a better English speaker, writer or reader. My goal would be to support your goals.

My approach is systematic: We first do an assessment to see what level of proficiency you have in English. We do a combination of reading, speaking and writing to give an all around approach to English as it is used in everyday situations.
I have had experience volunteering through the Santa Rosa library as a tutor for of my ESL learners. Some of my students have been those who are wanting get a first of better job, some have been those who wish to start their education at the college level and others have been students who wish to elevate their skills for better communication.
