About Beth

Hi! I’m 26 and currently based in Liverpool. I studied at Edge Hill University, where I completed my BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, followed by a Master’s in History and Modern Culture. I’ve always been fascinated by how we express and interpret human experience — through stories, philosophy, language, and culture. I spent 10 years living in France, where I completed a French Baccalaureate in Literature, Art, and Philosophy, and I’m fluent in both French and English. My background is rooted in the humanities, and I’m passionate about helping others explore and understand complex ideas in ways that feel clear, creative, and empowering. Outside of teaching, I’m also a writer. I’ve self-published my own book and was honoured to be a judge for the Edge Hill Prize for short stories — an experience that deepened my appreciation for storytelling and the power of language. I’ve been tutoring for over 7 years, working with students of all ages, and I genuinely love what I do. I believe that learning should feel encouraging, interesting, and tailored to you. About the lesson

My teaching approach is entirely student-centred. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I adapt each session to the learner’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. Whether you're a visual learner, prefer discussion-based learning, or need structured support for exams or essays, I tailor my methods accordingly. Lessons are typically 1 hour long, though I can offer shorter or longer sessions depending on what suits you best. I'm also happy to help with one-off sessions for assignment support or anything else that could be needed. I hold a French Baccalaureate in Literature, Philosophy and Art, a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, and a Master’s in History and Modern Culture. I have also self-published my own book, and judged the Edge Hill Prize for Short Stories in 2022. With over 7 years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with both children and adults at a range of levels — from primary school and GCSE to A-Level, university, and adult learners returning to education.
