About Amana
I believe that the true passion for the English language and all the core elements roots from having an interest in reading from a young age. There is so much reward, satisfaction and positivity in teaching English to students of all ages which is why I love what I do. Since being a little girl, I had always wished to pursue a career in teaching because I loved school, enjoyed learning and thought so highly of my teachers. I then went on to graduate in Psychology which opened up my pathway to teaching in Primary schools. I worked with children of all ages including 5-12 year olds. These children were of all different abilities including SEN. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to work privately with students by offering home tuition as well as group tutoring (face to face) and online teaching which included foreign students who wanted to learn English as a second language (online).

With several years of teaching experience I still hold the interest and ambition to help people and be a part of their learning journey. I have a calm and friendly approach and am a very good listener. It is important to be able to understand and communicate a person's needs in order to achieve a positive outcome. I am very flexible and always like to prioritise my students' requests and base the lessons on what they wish to learn for the session. Whether you are looking to improve your vocabulary, to be able to write coherently or to build on spelling and grammar, or simply want to read together, I am passionate about helping you enhance these skills.
