About Dheeksha
Hello!
My name is Dheeksha, and I'm currently a Junior in high school in Pleasanton, California. I am interested in the study of environmental engineering, artificial intelligence, and math!
I have experience educating elementary school students on microplastics in our oceans today. I can help with: Learning the English language, elementary-level English, basic trigonometry, and algebra (I am currently taking Calculus). Furthermore, I can also assist with AP classes such as Computer Science Principles in which I earned a 5 on the AP exam.

My teaching style consists of asking questions to students rather than feeding the information to them myself. I want students to gain a deep understanding of the subject and not rely on memory, but rather understanding. I also provide lots of practice problems to solidify students' understanding of the concept. At the start of the session, we will discuss what we want to accomplish and I will also see where the student's current understanding level is. By the end of the session, we will have covered these concepts and I will ask students to complete some homework problems themselves and we will go over it the following session.
My sessions will mainly be focused on elementary, middle, and 9th-grade students.
