About Ivana

As I mentioned earlier, I have 2 younger siblings whom I took care of when we were young. This inspired me to have a career as a youth worker, having worked in language camps and nurseries in Slovakia and the UK. I have also always been interested in languages, leaving my home country, Slovakia, at the age of 16 to go to Berlin learning German and subsequently, a year later, to Wales where I completed my International Baccalaureate diploma. My passion for education and languages did not stop there as I took on Spanish language lessons, and graduated in Arabic. Learning multiple languages, even Russian during lockdown, provides me with the knowledge of the important steps of learning a new language, such as conversation, repetition and most importantly, interest. My lessons are therefore filled with fun conversations that will interest you as they are tailored to your need and interests. I know that when you will choose me as your teacher we will have loads of productive fun together and I will make sure you progress at your own pace, achieving the goals you set for yourself :)

About the lesson

Hello, my name is Ivana and I am 23 years old :)
I provide English conversation and tutoring for children and adults. I am very happy to have lessons with any age group, as I have two younger siblings and therefore I believe that we will have loads to talk about :)
In the past I worked in summer camps organised by Volis language school in Slovakia, teaching English and basic German to young people aged 5-13 years old. I provide conversations for adults and young people at the level of professional vocabulary, as I have lived in the UK for 6 years now. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Development at the University of Sussex and I also obtained a high school International Baccalaureate diploma in English language and literature, anthropology, politics and environmental studies in Wales.
I also offer beginner German lessons, as I studied in Berlin in a German high school for a year :)
