About Amara
Even though I have my first qualification and I am a qualified chef, I haven’t stopped studying. I’m studying to hopefully be a future child and family psychologist. I’m a person who believes in following your dreams but also doing something that is practical and something that you love. I’ve lived in Cape Town for 3 years but I’ve been in Johannesburg my whole life so I have experiences of different types of cities.

I’m all about visual learning and learning for understanding. Studying doesn’t have to be boring and feel like a task, so I’m definitely all about making fun with notes and the work material. For example, for maths I can teach a student to count using sweets which can counter as a reward for achieving the work, instead of using number cards.
