About Sophie

I am a friendly, patient and down to earth person and a trained actress with over 10 years teaching experience from 5-25 years old. However I find that students from 8+ years are usually more equipped to deal with one to one tutoring. I am a trained actress from Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and so I have a lot of first-hand acting experience and advice. Since graduating in 2010 I have also been developing my teaching skills and have taught drama and musical theatre for and still do teach for private drama schools in Oxfordshire. I have also previously taught Drama and English in primary and secondary schools.

About the lesson

I have a very approachable manner and am a professional and a perfectionist through and through. I am also extremely hard working, organised and patient. I help a huge range of students: from those who wish to use drama to improve their confidence to students who need help with their GCSE/A Level Drama practical and theory, to students whose dream it is to audition for anything from their school production to drama school. I find that drama can help in all aspects of life by developing speaking, communication and self-confidence to name but a few.

Perfect! Sophie was really great in pushing me out of my comfort zone without it feeling too difficult. We worked through a couple of monologues and I felt like I really achieved my goals of getting better approaches to characterisation. She's really lovely and made me feel very comfortable as well, highly recommend!

Perfect! She’s really good at listening and telling us that we are good at something but also give us tips to improve but in the nicest way possible although it was only 2 lessons absolutely loved her!
