About Claudia

Hello I am Claudia, native Italian speaker and certified Italian l2/LS teacher at International House in London since 2020. As an experienced and passionate Italian language teacher, I have had the opportunity to teach Italian as a second and foreign language (L2/LS) to a diverse range of students from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
My teaching journey has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards involved in helping learners master a new language.
Throughout my career, I have designed and delivered tailored lessons that focus not only on linguistic proficiency but also on cultural immersion, ensuring that students gain both the practical language skills they need and a deeper understanding of Italy's rich cultural heritage.
I work with learners at different levels, from beginners to advanced, adapting my approach to their individual needs and learning styles.
Key aspects of my teaching experience include:
* Designing custom-made lesson plans and materials that address the specific needs and goals of students.
* Innovative Teaching Methods: Implementing communicative and task-based teaching approaches, making use of modern technologies, interactive resources, and multimedia tools to engage students and enhance their language acquisition.
* Cultural Integration: Incorporating elements of Italian culture —such as history, art, literature, and cuisine—into language lessons to create a well-rounded learning experience.
* Student-Centered Approach: Fostering a dynamic and supportive environment where students feel motivated to actively participate, practice, and develop their language skills at their own pace.
* Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assessing students’ progress and providing constructive feedback to guide their improvement, while also offering additional support outside of class to ensure continuous learning.
In my teaching, I aim to make Italian language learning both enjoyable and rewarding, helping students not only to communicate effectively but also to develop a lasting connection with the language and culture.

About the lesson

I am happy to teach to both children and adults and discuss a specific method suitable for everyone.
Usually my lesson is for 60' min

* 10 new grammar rule and some exercise with me + reading
* 10 listening
* 10 speaking
* 10 interactive exercise that mixes all the 4 aspects
* 10 other (explanation doubts or more minutes to spread )
CLTA L2/LS achieved at International House in London
I taught for 2 yrs meanwhile I work as bank customer service
My lessons are for everyone that wants to learn Italian not just as a hobby. I prepared some students to move forward in their career due to my degree in Economics so I am also ready to teach Italian applied to Economics
