About Mimi
I have just graduated with a Masters of Philosophy in English Studies from Cambridge University, having graduated with a double first in my BA in English language and literature from Oxford University. I have extensive experience tutoring privately, for U2 Tuition and as a volunteer for Tutor the Nation (a charity which helps children whose education has been affected by the pandemic). In 2018, I worked as a Teaching Assistant at Eaton House School in Belgravia.
Most importantly, I am a kind, patient, creative teacher and I am deeply passionate about my subject. I hope to give students the practical tools they need to think about texts independently and to express their ideas and arguments fluently in writing. I aim to inspire students to find joy in English (both language and literature) and to feel confident in pursuing their own lines of thought, whilst also teaching rigorous and effective exam technique.
