My core techniques include: - Hands-on learning: Using tangible materials and interactive activities to reinforce abstract concepts. - Scaffolding: Meeting students where they are and gradually increasing the complexity of tasks to build confidence and independence. - Multisensory instruction: Engaging sight, sound, touch, and movement to enhance retention and cater to various learning styles. - Social-emotional integration: Weaving in lessons that nurture empathy, cooperation, and emotional literacy. - Positive reinforcement: Encouraging growth through praise, patience, and a safe learning environment. A Typical Lesson Plan Objective: Build literacy through phonemic awareness and early reading strategies. Lesson Structure (30–45 minutes): 1. Welcome & Warm-Up (5–7 min) Circle time or a fun check-in to set the tone. 2. Mini-lesson (10 min) Direct instruction using visual aids and storytelling. 3. Guided Practice (10–15 min) Hands-on activity—matching games, sentence building, phonics play, etc. 4. Independent Exploration (5–10 min) Students try the skill on their own or with minimal help. 5. Reflection & Wrap-up (5 min) Quick review, celebrate progress, and preview the next session.
