About Serena
I am a second year psychology undergraduate at King's College London pursuing a career in Law. I really enjoyed and excelled in Latin at school despite not finding it naturally easy, that is why I feel like I am good at tutoring this subject - because I believe I understand how to make it more accessible and interesting.

I studied Latin for 9 years, achieving an equivalent A* at A-level (IB HL - level 7) and I particularly specialise in literature and exam technique. I believe that the key to learning a subject is finding what you're already interested and skilled at and capitalising on that. Especially for a content-heavy subject like Latin, it is important to be interested so you feel motivated to put in the hours. For our lessons, I'll research your set-text or content beforehand so we can tailor make the session to you. We can go through real examples for how to analyse linguistic devices and the meaning of the text, break it down into digestible parts and find a fool-proof way to approach every exam question. I remember all the things I wish I had known before the revision periods and taking my exams, and so am excited to pass on that knowledge!
