About Dean
I have a BA in Classics (summa cum Laude) from the University of Colorado at Boulder, an MA in Classical and Near Eastern Studies from the University of Minnesota, and a PhD in Biblical Studies from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I have been a High School Latin teacher for over ten years, and my students have won first and second places in Grammar and Reading at the State Convention every year for the past five years.

About the lesson

After explaining a grammar concept and illustrating it with examples, students will tackle Latin to English and English to Latin sentences of increasing difficulty which build knowledge of this concept and review previous knowledge. Grammatical concepts are mastered one at a time, with effort being made to reduce morphological overload. You'll be surprised how quickly you will start learning to read Latin using this methodology.
