About Surabhi

I am a dedicated and patient English tutor based in Singapore, specializing in teaching primary school students (Primary 1 to Primary 6). As a law graduate, I have developed strong proficiency in English, with particular emphasis on structured writing, clear communication, and analytical thinking.

I believe every child learns differently, and I take care to tailor my teaching style according to each student’s pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. My goal is not only to help students perform better in school assessments, but also to nurture a genuine understanding and appreciation of the English language.

With a calm, encouraging, and structured approach, I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, motivated, and confident in their abilities.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is structured, engaging, and tailored to each child’s individual learning needs. I focus on building a strong foundation in English by strengthening grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and written expression through clear explanations, guided practice, and regular reinforcement. I also incorporate interactive techniques such as storytelling, discussion-based learning, and practical examples to make lessons enjoyable and relatable for young learners.

Each lesson typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s attention span and learning goals. Lessons are carefully paced to ensure understanding without overwhelming the student, with time allocated for concept teaching, practice exercises, and review of previous learning.

I am a law graduate, which has strengthened my command of written and spoken English, analytical thinking, and structured communication. My academic background, combined with experience in professional environments, allows me to teach English in a clear, logical, and effective manner that helps students improve both academically and in confidence.

My lessons are designed primarily for primary school students in Singapore (Primary 1 to Primary 6). I support students who need help strengthening their foundational English skills, as well as those aiming to improve their school performance and exam readiness.

Overall, my goal is to help students not only perform better in school, but also develop long-term confidence and clarity in using the English language.
