About Deena

Hello! My name is Deena, and I’m a passionate and dedicated law tutor currently pursuing my LLM in International Commercial Law at the University of Birmingham after completing my Law degree at Sorbonne University. My academic journey between two prestigious universities has given me a strong foundation in both civil and common law systems, and a deep understanding of how to approach complex legal concepts with clarity and structure. I bring this same balance of precision and accessibility into my teaching. As a tutor, I aim to make every lesson clear, practical, and motivating. I help students not only understand the law but also think like a lawyer, developing their analytical reasoning, writing skills, and exam technique. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether it’s mastering a difficult topic, improving essay structure, or building confidence before assessments. Professional, patient, and approachable, I ensure that each student feels supported and challenged in the right measure. My goal is to help you progress steadily and genuinely enjoy the learning process.

About the lesson

About my approach to tutoring
My teaching style is supportive, structured, and adapted to each student’s learning pace. I focus on helping students truly understand the reasoning behind concepts rather than just memorizing them. Whether it’s preparing for exams, improving essay writing, or mastering legal principles, I use real examples and practical exercises to make each topic engaging and clear.

Techniques and methodology
I combine explanation, discussion, and guided problem-solving. Lessons often include simplified case breakdowns, visual summaries, and interactive examples to help students retain information effectively. I also give short follow-up tasks between sessions to reinforce understanding and build confidence.

Typical length of a lesson
Sessions usually last 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s schedule and focus. Longer lessons can be arranged for exam preparation or complex topics.

Qualifications and experience
I hold a Law degree from Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and am currently completing an LLM in International Commercial Law at the University of Birmingham (Dubai campus). I’ve tutored university students and high school learners in legal studies, academic writing, and French, helping them achieve higher grades and stronger analytical skills.
