About Priscilla
Who I Am and Why I Want to Teach
Hello! I’m Priscilla, a third-year law student at Nottingham Trent University with a passion for the English language and literature. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in critical thinking, analysis, and effective communication—skills that I am eager to share with students preparing for their GCSE English exams.
My Passion for Teaching
Teaching is not just a job for me; it’s a calling. I have always found joy in helping others learn and grow. Here’s why I want to teach:
Empowering Students: I believe that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives. I want to empower students to develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
Fostering a Love for Learning: I am passionate about instilling a love for literature and language in my students. I want to show them that English is not just a subject but a gateway to understanding the world around them.
Making a Difference: I understand the challenges students face, especially in high-pressure exam environments. I want to provide the support and guidance that can make a real difference in their academic journey.
Sharing My Knowledge: With my background in law and A-level English Literature and Language, I have a wealth of knowledge to share. I am excited to help students navigate the complexities of English literature, writing, and analysis.
My Approach to Teaching
In my tutoring sessions, I focus on creating a positive and engaging learning environment. I tailor my lessons to meet the individual needs of each student, using interactive methods to make learning enjoyable. My goal is to not only prepare students for their exams but also to inspire them to think critically and express themselves confidently.
Together, we can unlock your potential and achieve success in GCSE English. I look forward to the opportunity to guide you on this journey!
