About Esther

I started teaching in June 2019. My first teaching experiences were with illiterate foreigners new to the Dutch language. Nowadays I also teach persons with various educational backgrounds, medium to highly educated, and from various countries like Poland and Norway. I taught 3 classes of illiterates and 4 individuals from Poland and Norway residing in The Netherlands. Based on background and learning abilities the results vary from "able to participate in Dutch society" to "being proficient in Dutch language".

About the lesson

I teach online lessons with ZOOM in combination with Google Classroom. After we return to a normal society I offer lessons at your place or any place of your choosing (ie library). Depending on your preferences I teach Dutch with any method of your choosing. Currently I have experience with the following methods: Granpok system (Polish-NL), TaalTalent, De Opmaat, Link, Diglin +. In addition I offer extra exercises in Google Classroom tailored to your needs. These exercises are accessible on computer and smartphone. To expand your vocabulary I advise using Quizlet.

Perfect! I have had one-to-one lessons with Esther both online and IRL and can fully recommend her as a dutch teacher. She is friendly, professional and patient. She adjust the lessons to fit with your own individual learning pace. If there are areas in the language where you feel more insecure and need more practice, she can provide more learning material for you. And also she will not spend unnecessary time on the things you already have under control.
Lessons with Esther are always a good experience, both on educational and social aspect.

Samen met Solfrid werken we in het boek De Opmaat. Met veel plezier werken we aan de onderwerpen de voorbij komen en haar woordenschat gaat met sprongen vooruit! Wees niet bang om te spreken. Gewoon lekker doen. Mensen vinden het leuk als je moeite doet en je hebt een hele mooie uitspraak!
