About Ngombo

I love tutoring and teaching the Callan Method because I am passionate about helping people from around the world practise and improve their English speaking skills. My previous career was in Dentistry. I received my Dental Nursing Qualification from the School of Dentistry- University of Leeds, England. I then went on to expand my Dental Nursing experience in the areas of Orthodontics, Paediatrics and Minor Oral Surgery, eventually moving on to administration and Dental Practice Management.

About the lesson

Welcome to my profile! My name is Ngombo and I am a Callan Method tutor from England. The Callan Method is a fun, fast and easy way of learning English that focuses on improving students’ listening and speaking skills. It was invented in England during the 1960s by a man named Robin Callan. This method is based on repetition and speed, two things that guarantee success in learning a language. The 30 minute lessons are suitable for students of all nationalities and for all purposes of study. Students can reach the level of the internationally-recognised Cambridge Preliminary English Test (PET) in approximately 80 hours instead of the usual 350 hours it takes when learning by other methods and the level of the Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) in about 160 hours. This means you can spend less money and less time on lessons by learning English in one quarter of the time it takes to learn by other methods. I am a considerate teacher that is happy to move at your pace. I have a clear English accent and as well as teaching the Callan Method I am particularly skilled at assisting with job applications, CVs, cover letters and interview practice.
