About Eduardo
I know statistics and math can appear like a complex foreign language. It is all an appearance, I promise! I am a PhD-level educator and researcher with over 9 years of experience teaching statistics and conducting applied research for institutions such as Adidas, UCLA, California State University Chico, and the University of Oviedo. My doctoral work specifically focused on the most effective pedagogical methods for statistics, for which I have authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals. In my teaching, I focus on applying the evidence-based methods I have researched to make statistics fun and easy, alongside my core principle: time and practice. I was once a student overwhelmed by statistical symbols myself, and I assure you that time is all you need for mastery.

My approach is rooted in Evidence-Based Instruction. Specifically, my techniques include:
• Clear Explanations through Worked Examples: Research shows that new concepts are assimilated faster when solutions are embedded in real-life scenarios. You will have the opportunity to explore these at your own pace to build a solid foundation of concepts that might initially appear as a complex foreign language.
• Active Problem-Solving: Deep understanding happens when you have the space to think and apply logic to real-world problems. We use hands-on practice with both simplified and real datasets, working directly with the software required for your specific courses (SPSS, R, JASP, or Excel).
• Retrieval Practice: Educational science demonstrates that practice testing is one of the most efficient methods for consolidating memory and overcoming test anxiety. I provide customized exercises and mock questions adapted to your specific syllabus.
• Strategic Study Planning: I help students implement the most effective learning strategies—such as spaced and interleaved practice—while empowering them to become self-aware learners who can optimize their own study habits.
A typical 60-minute session include:
- 10 min: Intuition-building exercises.
- 15 min: Exploring worked examples at your own pace.
- 25 min: Active testing, practice, and resolving doubts.
- 10 min: Synthesis and a personalized roadmap for independent study.
Unsure if this is the right fit for your specific goals? Feel free to reach out, and I’ll be happy to discuss your needs. My students range from high school and AP levels to university and doctoral candidates, as well as professionals in the social and behavioral sciences. To help us get started and ensure we are a great match, I offer a free introductory first session.

Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
Edu is a very professional and attentive teacher. From the very first day, he truly commits to making sure you understand mathematics and statistics, and *you can tell* that he doesn’t just teach to get through the syllabus, but to genuinely help you improve.
He is always aware of students’ difficulties and, when he sees that something is hard for you, he takes the time to explain it in a different way until it finally makes sense. Thanks to his teaching style, I have improved a lot in both subjects and gained confidence in topics that once seemed impossible.
On top of that, *he's* approachable and respectful, which makes it *really* easy to ask questions(quitaria eso). He is a teacher who truly makes a difference, and whose effort students sincerely appreciate.Eduardo adapts very effectively to the needs and characteristics of each individual, making learning motivating, simple, fast, and efficient. He brings a fresh approach to conventional math study methods and makes mathematics truly accessible to any student, regardless of their level.
