About Georgia

Working as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school has given me extensive experience supporting students, both 1:1 and in small groups. My role involves helping students break tasks down into manageable steps, helping organise their ideas into essay formats, and building confidence in their abilities. Having experienced myself how important the right support can be in school, I understand how valuable patient, personalised guidance is for students who may feel overwhelmed or unsure in class. I aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their skills, and making steady progress at their own pace.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on helping students build confidence in English by breaking work down into manageable chunks and providing clear, structured support. I specialise in helping students plan and prepare essays and develop strong analytical skills for GCSE and KS3 English. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, with a calm and supportive approach that helps students feel more organised, capable, and confident in their work.

I really enjoyed having tutoring sessions with Georgia. I was struggling with poetry and she explained things really clearly and helped me understand it in a way that made it much less stressful. I feel much more confident with analysing poems and essay writing now. She was really friendly and patient, and I would definitely recommend her!

Georgia tutored my primary school child in English. We saw a real improvement in confidence and understanding. She was patient, encouraging, and lovely. Each lesson was engaging, and my child looked forward to each session! I would recommend Georgia to anyone looking for an English tutor.
