About Sanugi

I am in my first year, studying Economics at the University of Bath. I have over 5 years of face-to-face tutoring and almost two years of online tutoring at other private tutoring centres so I am a very experienced tutor and am well versed across a range of exam boards. I have a great passion for all three of the subjects I chose for A-Level, particularly Maths and Economics which is mostly the reason why I chose to study Economics at University. I am a friendly and patient tutor, enabling me to go at whatever pace my students may need. Growing up, Maths and English were not my strongest subjects, nor did I like them. Not getting the results I wanted only made me more determined to work harder and along the way, I grew so passionate about these subjects I decided I wanted to take them for A Level. I really loved studying my subjects, which I think is a really important factor for success, so I can only hope that I can inspire the same passion in my students as well.

About the lesson

My teaching method depends on how the student learns best but usually, I will start with the basic writing techniques and then move onto the content such as analysing poems or prose in great detail, then move onto essay structures and perfecting the technique. I will teach the theory through the use of PowerPoint presentations whilst frequently asking the students questions on the topic that we are covering. Then, we will go through some practice questions together before I set them some questions to do on their own. As well as that, my students will be frequently tested on their knowledge to ensure the teaching has been retained so I will require my students to be going over the work we do in lessons frequently.
