About Shenie
I’m passionate about sharing my love for English and History, and I aim to inspire the same enthusiasm for learning in my students. With experience working with children and young people aged 4 to 17, I understand how to adapt my teaching style to different age groups and learning needs. I believe education should not only be academically enriching but also morally and personally fulfilling. I focus on building a deep understanding of each text by exploring its context, identifying key themes, and learning essential quotations. I guide students in structuring analytical paragraphs clearly and effectively, while also teaching practical exam techniques that boost confidence and performance. I also support students with tailored revision strategies to make their study time productive and focused. My goal is to help each student engage meaningfully with literature and reach their full potential. My Approach to History Tutoring I help students develop effective revision techniques to confidently retrieve and apply knowledge under exam conditions. We break down complex topics into manageable subtopics and key themes, making it easier to understand historical events and their significance. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, including how to structure answers, use evidence effectively, and understand what examiners are looking for through regular practice and marking guidance. My aim is to make history both accessible and engaging, while building the skills needed for exam success.
