About Seray

Hi! I’m Seray. I have a background in Journalism and Communications, and I’m currently studying a Master of Public Health. I’ve always loved language, storytelling, and helping people communicate their ideas clearly and confidently.

I’m a friendly, curious person who enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and making learning feel engaging rather than stressful. My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their skills.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy writing, photography, creative projects, and learning about culture, health, and society. These interests often find their way into my lessons and help make learning more interesting and relevant.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalised to each student’s needs and goals. I focus on creating a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and practising their English. Depending on the student, lessons may include conversation practice, grammar exercises, writing support, vocabulary building, and IELTS preparation. I also like to incorporate real-life examples and practical communication skills so students can use English naturally in everyday situations.

Lessons typically run for 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s preference and learning needs.

I hold a GA Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and previously worked as a self-employed English and IELTS tutor from 2019 to 2023, teaching both high school and adult learners. I planned tailored lessons, supported students preparing for exams, and helped learners build strong communication skills.

My lessons are suitable for high school students, university students, and adult learners, including people learning English as a second language or those looking to improve their writing, grammar, or speaking confidence.
