About Gerald

I'm a certified English teacher with a Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (RQF) from The TEFL Academy. This is an Ofqual-regulated qualification at the same academic level as CELTA and Trinity CertTESOL — the gold standard credentials in English language teaching worldwide. Beyond my teaching certification, I hold an Associate of Science degree in Recording Arts, covering audio engineering, music production, and professional communication in creative and technical environments. This academic background gives me a unique ability to work with professionals across a wide range of industries — from business and technology to entertainment and creative fields. Whatever your profession, I understand how to teach you the English your career actually demands. I speak intermediate Spanish, which means I can support Spanish-speaking learners in a way most English teachers cannot. About the lesson

I graduated with an Associate of Science in Recording Arts — audio engineering and music production. I spent years learning how sound works, how studios run, and how creative professionals communicate under pressure. That world taught me something most English teachers never learn: language isn't about grammar rules, it's about connecting with people when it counts.
I went on to earn a Qualifi Level 5 TEFL Diploma from The TEFL Academy — Ofqual-regulated, same level as CELTA. That training gave me the methodology. My background gave me the perspective.
