About Megan
I am a lifelong learner, passionate about reading and literature. I became a librarian and teacher because when I was a child I hated to read and resisted learning until I found the right book. Once I found a book that truly interested me, I couldn't put it down. Now I believe reading helps people expand their vocabulary and ignites creativity.

I have 5 years tutoring experience with both groups and individuals including students with learning disabilities. I have taught media literacy and English at both the primary and secondary levels as well as working as a librarian for two years. I believe in inquiry-based learning, especially for the online learning format so that students stay engaged in the learning material. When students are engaged in the lesson topics, they learn faster and more thoroughly. The UDL teaching method meets students where they are at in the learning process. This helps in teaching new English language learners and those with unique learning needs. My lessons can be customized to your needs. 45 minutes to an hour is essential to get through enough meaningful learning material. Lessons are available for up to three consecutive hours. I am available for different time zones and on both weekdays and weekends.

Perfect! Megan is a hidden gem of a tutor, professionally trained and always well prepared for lessons. I can see the improvement in my child's (10 year old) English creative writing and motivation after only 4 lessons. Highly recommended.
