About April
I am a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts, with a degree in playwrighting. My first written word loves were writing poetry and short stories. I've worked with young people in the United States and in Ghana through
volunteer programs,
teaching them how to craft their emotions into poems. I believe that I have a service to showing young people how to transfer their feelings into cathartic outlets such as writing and performance, and that this is cathartic for me as well.

I hope that you will enjoy becoming an active part of your own learning, because I envision us being partners with the common goal of strengthening the skills you have and introducing you to abilities that you didn't know you had.
The first lesson will lead us to get to know each other, getting an understanding of what you struggle with, and what your interests are. Each lesson thereafter will be tailored to your individualized style of learning.
