About DeAnna
My love of learning and language is lifelong. I attended college level English courses with my own mother at age 9, have a bachelors degree in psychology with a focus on early childhood development, and spent several years working for the largest SES company on the west coast, curating curriculum for each student and tutoring at local elementary and high schools.

I like to start with topics that already interest the student and move on from there. I believe it is important to customize goals and lessons based on the needs and existing skill set of the students, adding elements of fun to learning whenever possible, and keep a pace that students find challenging but not overwhelming. As the mother of 2 neurodivergent children, I am also accustomed to integrating non-traditional ways of teaching and learning so that each student can thrive.
