About Alex

I'm a young musician with over ten years of experience playing in samba and marching bands, jazz bands, rock bands and as a solo singer songwriter. I've played venues big and small up and down the country, and hosted jam nights and open mic nights in several venues. I live and breathe music. As a result I know what my students need, and how to foster what they live. I'm here to share the absolute love, joy and expression that comes with being a musician, even from the earliest notes you play.

About the lesson

I take a friendly, relaxed approach to learning, with the belief that loving what you do is the most important part of the process. My lessons are tailored specifically to my students to make sure your personal and creative expression can shine through. I have three years of peripatetic teaching experience at a secondary school level over a range of instruments, as well as older students on a one to one basis.

My lessons cover learning your favourite songs as well as writing your own, getting a handle on improvisation and talking overall musicianship.
