I love language!! This lifelong student and teacher of language wants to help you with your English.


My teaching approach is driven by context (how/when/where does the learner need/want to use the language), and takes into account current levels of proficiency. I believe that language drives success in all areas of life, and that personal expression is humankind's greatest power. I also believe that language learning can and should be fun, engaging, and purposeful. Much of my teaching is through games and improvisation, giving the learner an opportunity to apply language spontaneously and practically.


I have studied French language since I was 12 years old. I continued to study French throughout middle and high school, and received a degree in French and teaching language in college. I have also always had a general love of language--language acquisition in particular. In graduate school, I took courses in linguistics and speech-language pathology. I also have certification in teaching English as a Second Language, K-5 General Curriculum, and have a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education. I am fascinated by all aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
