About Laura

I am Belgian resident in Lyon for two years. As a graduate of Berlaymont Private School (Waterloo) and a Master in Philosophy, Letters and Social Sciences (Free University of Brussels), I have a solid and varied background. I will be in charge of TD in September at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and wish to gain experience in teaching, which is why the experience as a school companion could, if I may, "To link the useful to the pleasant". Archaeologist by profession, I had the opportunity to acquire an ease and develop pedagogical methods for children and young people in my previous professional experiences, especially during visits to school groups on archaeological sites that I have participated, and during an internship in a museum as a guide. I also keep punctually the children of my friends. I continue my university studies for 3 years by a doctoral training in co-supervision with the University Paris 1-Panthéon Sorbonne, which assures you of my diligence, my patience and my determination. This situation makes me available every day, including weekends. Finally, mobility issue, I move within the Lyon area. I specify that my academic training allow me to provide courses in history-geo, French and Latin up to the next level (dissertation, argumentation, text commentary, baccalaureate preparation, etc.) as well as math classes and from physics / chemistry to middle school (3rd)

About the lesson

My role will be that of a coach, to make sure that the student feels involved. To do this, I first explain what skills are mobilized by the problematic material, and what benefits the student will derive from it (concrete and professional added value, for example). The skills that will be assessed at school are established; together, the bi-monthly objectives to be achieved and the instructions for carrying out the tasks are set up together. From these parameters, the gaps are localized and corresponding individual work areas are created. I also provide a self-assessment grid to enable the student to become aware of his / her limitations, as well as the learning, progress and progress of his / her thinking.
