About Anoushka

Hi! I’m Anoushka :) I graduated with First Class Honours in Product and Furniture Design from UAL, ranked the second-best university in the world for Art & Design.

I’m a designer, artist and chronic maker of things. I’ve spent the last few years drawing, painting, designing, building, prototyping and running creative workshops — basically, if there’s an idea in my head, I need to see what happens when I make it.

A lot of my work is about making creativity feel less intimidating and helping people stop worrying about getting things “right”. I’m bubbly, curious, very chatty and love working with people, whether that’s helping someone find their creative confidence, learn a new skill or finally make the thing they’ve been thinking about for ages.

My general philosophy is: have a go, make a mess, and we’ll figure out the rest.

About the lesson

I’m a big believer that the best way to learn something is to actually start doing it (and figure out the chaos along the way).

My lessons are hands-on, relaxed and built around you. We’ll make things, try things, probably change our minds halfway through, and I’ll sneak the actual learning in as we go. Whether you’re drawing, designing, learning new software or just trying to feel a bit more creative, I’ll adapt the lesson to how you learn and what you actually want to get better at.

I’m not here to hover over you with a giant red pen. I’ll give you honest feedback, help when you’re stuck, ask lots of questions and encourage you to try the idea you think might be a little bit stupid — because those are usually the interesting ones.

Basically: less sitting and listening, more doing, experimenting and figuring it out together.

Anoushka taught me how to make a presentation visually appealing. She showed how to take boring text and enhance it with visual context, something no AI could have done. The ideas and passion she has for design subjects are incredible.

I’d absolutely recommend Anoushka for art classes with children. She’s incredibly creative, warm and naturally great with kids. She has a way of making art feel fun rather than like a serious lesson, and is really good at encouraging children to experiment, make a mess and come up with their own ideas.

She’s also very patient, energetic and easy to get along with, so I’d feel completely comfortable leaving my kids with her. With her background in art and design, she has loads of skills to teach, but more importantly, she knows how to make kids actually want to join in.
