About Clifford
I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions.
If one explanation doesn't make sense, that's okay. I'll explain it another way. Sometimes we need a visual example, sometimes we need to slow down and review the foundation, and sometimes we simply need to practice a few problems together.
My goal is to identify how you learn best and adapt my teaching accordingly.
I also believe that building confidence is an important part of learning mathematics. When students understand the steps behind a problem, they become more comfortable tackling new problems on their own.
Your first lesson is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and identify the areas where you need the most help.
Please have any relevant textbooks, assignments, handouts, notes, calculator, laptop, or other course materials available.
For online lessons, please make sure Zoom is ready before the session begins.

In our first lesson, I will quickly assess your needs and identify the concepts that require the most attention. From there, we will create a focused approach for your lessons.
During our sessions, I use clear explanations, step-by-step examples, guided practice, and questions that help you understand why a method works—not simply memorize a formula or procedure.
