About Nandipha
I am a recent graduate of St Mary’s School, Waverley, an institution known for its strong academic standards and commitment to excellence. My schooling shaped me into a disciplined, hardworking, and compassionate individual who values education and personal growth.
During my time in school, I participated in community service where I taught Mathematics and English to Grade 8 and 9 learners from underprivileged backgrounds. This experience was incredibly meaningful to me, as it allowed me to make a real difference while developing my communication and leadership skills. It also strengthened my passion for helping students build confidence in their academic abilities.

My approach to tutoring English is personalised, structured, and supportive. I believe that every student can succeed in English when lessons are adapted to their individual learning style and pace. I focus on building strong foundational skills in grammar, comprehension, writing, and vocabulary, while also helping students gain confidence in expressing themselves clearly and effectively.
What makes me unique as a teacher is my patience and my creative way of explaining concepts, especially to younger learners who naturally have a greater imagination. I use storytelling, real-life examples, visuals, and interactive activities to make lessons engaging and easy to understand. By tapping into a child’s imagination, I help them grasp language concepts in a fun and meaningful way rather than relying on rote learning.
I am fully proficient in English and teach confidently in English. I ensure that all explanations are clear, structured, and suited to the learner’s level.
In a typical lesson, we begin by identifying areas that need improvement, whether it is reading, comprehension, grammar, spelling, or writing skills. I guide students through examples, provide age-appropriate practice activities, and give constructive feedback to support steady progress. I also encourage creativity in writing and expression, helping students feel more confident using the language.
My lessons are aimed at primary and lower high school students, particularly younger learners and Grades 7 to 9, who need support in developing strong English foundations, improving academic performance, and building confidence in reading and writing.
