I take a structured, multisensory approach to teaching that aligns with Orton-Gillingham principles. Lessons follow a clear “I do, we do, you do” model, emphasizing explicit instruction, guided practice, and independent application. I believe in the power of direct, sequential, and scaffolded teaching, with ample opportunities for review and repetition to build confidence and mastery. I’m passionate about getting to know each student as a learner and as a person, weaving their interests and strengths into lessons to make learning meaningful and engaging. My diverse teaching experiences allow me to adapt lessons to meet the needs of beginning readers, older students developing deeper comprehension, and everyone in between.
