About Madeline
I went to undergraduate school for Finance and Economics at the University of Alabama then completed my Master of Finance at the University of Utah. I worked in IT for 10 years as a report developer, database designer, and data warehouse manager. My career path in IT helped me develop acute business communication and planning insights which help me navigate the professional world every day. Since departing IT I have also been a bartender, which has been a fun, more social-oriented diversion from the rigidity of the corporate world, giving me an opportunity to connect with people of diverse backgrounds on all different levels.

A typical approach will include a period of getting to know the student's goals and priorities, connecting on a personal level with relevant experience, and then building on that connection to form the structure of a long term lesson plan. I like to start each lesson with a mini-review or the last lesson followed by introduction and utilization of new concepts, then integration of the concepts in the context of previous lessons, and finally a Q&A and review period.
