About Peyton
I am a professional flutist and Master of Music student at Mannes School of Music in New York City, where I continue to develop my performance and teaching skills. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Washington and have extensive experience performing in orchestras, chamber ensembles, and community settings.
I strive to create a supportive and fun environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and discovering their own musical voice. My goal is not only to help students become stronger flutists, but also to build the confidence and independence that will serve them throughout their lives.

My goal as a teacher is to help students become well-rounded musicians who develop strong technical skills, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Lessons emphasize both measurable musical skills and personal growth through music.
Lessons are personalized to each student and can include
tone development, technique, musical expression, sight-reading, band or orchestra music, music theory, audition preparation, or learning pieces you love!
Whether you're picking up the flute for the first time, working toward a school audition, or looking to take your playing to the next level, we'll build a plan that works for you.
