About Kaneki

As a dedicated and experienced Child and Youth Worker with over two decades of professional experience, I bring a strong foundation of skills to working with diverse students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. I have a bachelor's degree in Child and Youth Care, with a minor in Psychology, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s of Social Work, deepening my knowledge and understanding of effective communication, educational techniques, and student development. I take pride in creating a respectful, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing. My approach to tutoring is centered on building trust and patience and adapting to each student's unique learning style. With years of experience working with children and youth, I understand the importance of fostering self-esteem and helping learners feel confident in their abilities. Hello! My name is Janet, and I am excited to help you achieve your English language goals. As a Child and Youth Worker with over 20 years of experience, I have a passion for supporting learning and fostering growth in young people and adults alike. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care with a minor in Psychology, and I'm working towards a master's degree in Social Work, which has equipped me with valuable tools to guide students through their learning journeys with patience and understanding.
