About Anjali
In high school, I did not have a great teacher and in fact I wasn't the best in English Literature and it wasn't until I was shown properly that I understood how properly to do the basics, such as write an essay or analyse a poem, and I ended up getting an A*. These skills can be learnt and these are important skills because they can be extrapolated to many real life scenarios.

I teach online and share all my resources. For example, if I were teaching a student the themes of comparison between two texts, I would give the student in-depth personalised notes of these themes.
I'm very good at teaching essay planning, essay writing, comparative essays, and unseen papers. I tend to focus on getting the student to initially understand the mark scheme and show them what they need to write to hit these points. Then moving on to essay planning looking at the overall argument and what each paragraph will look like. I mark comparative essays and unseen papers and give feedback to students to make sure they are hitting the mark scheme, sometimes I walk through how to write the essay in real time if the student struggles with this. I particularly enjoy teaching unseen papers because it's so interesting to analyse an unseen text and have your own opinions and analysis on a text (while also keeping to the mark scheme).
I mainly teach GCSE and A Level but I can also teach IGCSE and International Baccalaureate :)
