About Brian
I am a passionate Drum tutor with more than 26 years of experience teaching college-level students. I help students build strong rhythm foundations while developing creativity and confidence behind the drum kit. My teaching style is clear, supportive, and goal-focused. I tailor lessons to match each student’s learning pace and musical interests.
I guide students as a mentor, helping them think critically about rhythm and groove. I use innovative methods such as groove development drills, structured warm-ups, and song-based practice. I also focus on tempo control and coordination to improve overall performance. Accountability is a core part of my lessons.
I provide personalized practice plans, track progress, and give constructive feedback. Along with drum techniques, I support students with rhythm theory, basic music notation, and performance skills. My goal is to help students become confident, disciplined, and independent drummers.
