About Lily
Hello, future students! I'm Lily, and students like you are a bright spot in my day! Since I was young, I knew I wanted to spend my time writing and reading, and I do — mostly. I am getting my masters in Gender, Sexuality & Culture at University College Dublin's English Department. However, I also love talking to people, so this gives me an opportunity to work with students and we will work together to foster your curiosity and your skills. Also, I am from California, and can also answer any questions about that mysterious land, but I am also going to help you find your passion in English reading and writing!

I take a creative and dynamic approach to learning, using methods from psychologically-grounded research experience as a teacher to help you reach maximum potential as a writer, reader, and thinker — all in just one hour lessons.
I have worked for 8 years as a private tutor and 4 years in the classroom in the United States, with students of all levels and abilities. I've taught age 3 to age 18, and I enjoy working with any age! I have a dual-BA from Brown University in English and Gender & Sexuality Studies, with Honors.
Lessons are suitable for all ages, but I specialize in English literature and creative writing, as well as essay writing and American standardized test preparation.
