About Sarah
I am a 24-year-old Scottish citizen who has a passion for teaching. My specialised subjects are English and Religious and Moral education. I find Philosophy extremely interesting. I do also have some good Mathematics skills behind me so if you ever needed 10-15 minutes of a session looking at a problem I can do that as well. I’m a fairly personable person and will always love a chat, if you would prefer a quieter session where we just get on with it I can absolutely cater to that as well.

I am devoted to progressing a student as far as I can. We praise small and large victories alike. I have taught in placement classrooms and nurseries for 6 years, and, I am going into my probation year as a primary school teacher in August. I have obtained an A in English myself at a higher level in high school and continue to love teaching this and bringing the same enjoyment in learning to my students as I did. We work as a team to progress not as a rote learning centre. I aim to build skills that can help you continue to further your English skills on your own beyond these sessions.

Sarah was my tutor for all of my exams at school. She has tutored me since I was in primary school and helped me get into university even with my dyslexia! I never thought that would happen, but with her help, I was able to receive 3 conditionals and an unconditional. I couldn’t have done it without her. It helped with her being a family friend; however, I can safely say that she is kind, personable, and never makes you feel silly for not knowing something. Her favorite phrase to me was, “At some point, I didn’t know that either.” She helped me most with English and math but offered her services where she could with biology, P.E., R.E., art, and physics. I have now surpassed her level of education that she offers to teach; however, she will still help me with my CV and drafting emails from time to time, haha.
