I have completed Bachelors and Masters degrees in Piano Performance, worked professionally as a pianist accompanying choirs, vocalists, and instrumentalists, taught private lessons from young students to retired adults, and have served as a judge for the Shelby County Schools Piano Festival.

I teach students beginning with 5th grade, but prefer older students committed to learn; daily practice and access to a tuned piano is required. My instruction focuses on developing pianistic form and technique, and musical sensitivity with exposure to a variety styles. I love to give students with a strong initiative input and control over their repertoire as long as it is balanced. When appropriate, I am interested in creating accessible transcriptions of difficult music that a student of mine may be interested in, including transcriptions of video game music, an interest of mine.
