About Patrick
I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in 2011 and after spending time teaching abroad, returned to the UK to undertake postgraduate study in 2017, graduating with Masters of Letters with Merit.
Since then I have been working within Higher Education as a support worker for students identifying with either and SpLD or SEN before coming on to teach international students more formally in the field of Study Skills through a joint venture programme at a top 50 UK University.
Most recently, I attained the certification of Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy for my awareness and demonstration of excellent teaching practice.

I am a qualified University teacher, with a Bachelor of Arts degree and Masters of Letters in different branches of literature. I work exclusively with current University students or those preparing for University study. I also have specialist experience working with international students preparing for UK Higher Education, or individuals who identify with a Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) or Specific Educational Need (SEN).
Lessons will normally run for between 45 and 60 minutes and consist of a discussion of any work which is due to be submitted. The teacher will proofread for concept, content and overall quality of argument only and will not edit the document. Feedback will be verbal and the student will have the opportunity to take notes on this feedback. In the course of discussion, students will also be ancouraged to critically reflect on their own work, thus developing their own critical eye in respect of their work.
