About Cathy
I am a Physics and Mathematics graduate from Harvey Mudd College with over 5 years of experience teaching high school and college-level courses in physics and math.
For high school courses, I have taught Calculus AB/BC, AP Physics I & II, Trigonometry, and Geometry. For college courses, I have taught special relativity, probability, statistics, and mechanics. I can also help with coding in Python and Java.
Throughout the years, I have created personalized teaching materials emphasizing basic frameworks and presenting various fun motivations beyond tradition classroom to share the beauty of math and physics. Of course, I am also more than happy to adopt to students' current needs (problem sets, exam prep, etc.).
I believe that fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions is another vital part to learning. You can count on me with enforcing this philosophy!
