About Lily
I am a friendly and experienced tutor who has recently graduated from Cambridge University after studying Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.
Having sat the 11+ exam myself before attending Newstead Wood Grammar School, I am able to tutor from a unique position, understanding the common difficulties students may face when they come to prepare for this exam.
Furthermore, my strong academic record is testament to my understanding of the subjects I teach. I achieved nine level 9s and an A* with Distinction in Further Mathematics at GCSE, an A in AS Mathematics, and A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry and RS A-Level. I am eager to pass on my knowledge and passion for my subjects to other students.
I have over three years of experience in private tuition. On top of this, I have both experience with both paid work and voluntary work with young people with Special Educational Needs, meaning I am empathetic to the different manners in which individuals learn most efficiently. I am thus well accustomed to adapting my methods accordingly.
