About Stanislava
Hi! My name is Stanislava, or Stacey for short. I'm a native English speaker originally from Ukraine but I've been living in Canada for over 10 years. As a tutor, your learning experience is my top priority. I am open to feedback of all kinds from my students. I have been teaching English for as long as I can remember, by being a personal dictionary and translator for my parents. I help them improve their pronunciation, grammar and writing skills by proofreading their work and translating words. I also have experience working with young students of all levels, helping them improve their pronunciation, conversational skills and grammar. I can help students with their pronunciation, listening skills and overall comprehension by having them listen to me speak and learn to have flowing and natural conversations that way. I like to sing, translate songs and play games with students to make learning English fun and exciting. I introduce new vocabulary through games. In my spare time I like to read and write poetry whenever I feel most inspired. I also absolutely love teaching and sharing my passion for English with students. I want students to fall in love with English and leave the classroom feeling confident and ready to tackle the real world with their new English abilities. I'm really excited to teach and I can't wait to see you soon!

My goal is to create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to practice and grow. I focus on:
Pronunciation and Listening Skills: Through active listening exercises, natural conversations, and targeted practice, I help students develop a flowing and natural way of speaking English.

Typical Lesson Plan
1. Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): A casual conversation or game to set the tone and get students comfortable.
2. Lesson Focus (30 minutes):
Vocabulary building through context and games.
Grammar practice integrated into speaking or writing tasks.
Pronunciation exercises, such as repeating phrases or singing short songs.
3. Interactive Practice (15 minutes): Role-playing or conversational activities to apply what was learned in a fun way.
4. Wrap-Up and Feedback (5-10 minutes): A quick recap of the lesson, highlighting progress and areas to work on.
