About Rachelle

Hi! I’m Rachelle, an experienced educator, academic advisor, and writer with a deep love for learning and helping others succeed. I hold an MFA in Popular Fiction & Publishing and have worked extensively in higher education as both an adjunct instructor and an academic advisor, supporting students at every stage of their academic journey. I specialize in English, writing, reading comprehension, and academic support, and I’m especially passionate about helping students build confidence in their skills—not just complete assignments. Whether you’re working on essays, improving grammar, preparing for college-level writing, or strengthening critical thinking, I create a calm, encouraging space where learning feels approachable and empowering. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and personalized. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I adapt each lesson to meet your unique goals and learning pace. I’m especially great with students who feel anxious about writing or who have been told they’re “not good at English”—because I truly believe those labels aren’t permanent. Outside of tutoring, I’m a lifelong reader, writer, and creative thinker, which means our sessions are never boring and always engaging. My goal is not only to help you improve academically, but to help you feel capable, confident, and proud of your progress. I’d love to work with you—let’s make learning feel a little lighter and a lot more successful!

About the lesson

My lessons are engaging and interactive. I always tailor my approach to each student’s learning style, and making English fun (or at least less tedious) is always one of my top goals. By the end of our sessions, you’ll not only be more confident in your abilities, but you’ll no longer dread your English assignments because of your new confidence.
